The Happy Skin Clinic® — Summer 2025 Newsletter
Welcome to Your Summer Skin Update
This season’s newsletter brings some important updates—new facial pricing, a clearer product system, a few gentle reminders, and the launch of a private password-protected page where you can now browse everything I sell. There’s also a small but necessary price review, which I’ll explain below.
💛 Why I’m Here
We have choices.
In a world full of quick fixes and aesthetic options, it's easy to think that better skin comes easily. But true, lasting skin health comes from understanding your skin—supporting it daily, living in a way that protects it, and letting it do what it’s biologically built to do: repair, renew, and glow.
I'm not here to judge anyone’s choices. Injectables and more invasive treatments have their place. But they are not the same as nurturing your skin so it can work harder for you—naturally, and with integrity.
That’s what I offer.
Not surface changes, but long-term support. Not a quick result, but a deeper understanding.
And not just skincare, but guidance on how your lifestyle, environment, and daily habits shape your skin—every day.
That’s also why I created The Skin Well™ and your Happy Skin leaflets—so you can take what we do together in clinic and carry it into real life. Because skin doesn’t stop at the treatment room. And no amount of aesthetic work can replace the power of a strong, supported skin barrier.
NEW: Your Private Product Guide
I’ve created a password-protected section on the website with a full breakdown of all the products I sell (not all are stocked at all times). This page helps you:
Explore what’s available
Understand which products suit which skin concerns
See current prices (some have increased slightly, and some have actually decreased)
This page is password-protected in line with manufacturer guidelines.
You’ll find the password in the email that included your Summer 2025 newsletter.
Price Review: Why Now?
You’ll notice a few price changes on the private page.
Here’s why:
Dermaviduals® have increased minimum order quantities
Their delivery fees have gone up
I’ve kept my prices the same since launching in March 2023
I’m now aligning with updated product costs and ordering structures
There will now be one annual price review.
The next will be no earlier than late 2026 (definitely not in January!).
Monthly Ordering Now in Place – Starting September
To make things easier for everyone, I’ll be moving to a monthly product ordering system—but because I’m away for most of August, this will officially begin from September.
🗓️ Here’s what you need to know:
If you need products to carry you through August, please place your order during the last week of July.
I’ll be away from Friday 8 August until Wednesday 27 August, so this is your chance to stock up before I go.The new system starts with the September order:
Order deadline: Monday 1 September
Delivery: Products arrive during the second week of September
Postage: £4.50 or free on orders over £100
Collection: Always welcome
How to Order:
Email: hello@thehappyskinclinic.co.uk
Or use the contact form: thehappyskinclinic.co.uk/contact
It’s not automated (yet), but I’ll confirm every order personally.
Jacqui's Annual Leave
I’ll be away from Friday 8 August, flying out on Saturday 9 August.
Although I’ll be officially back in clinic from Wednesday 27 August, I’ll be opening my doors a little earlier—on Tuesday 26 August—for electrolysis appointments only.
If you’re one of my regular electrolysis clients and would like to be seen that day, I’ll be booking these appointments in directly with you.
Regular appointments will fully resume from Wednesday 27 August.
Please make sure to get any product orders in by the last week of July to avoid delays while I’m away.
Facial Pricing: Now Standardised
All 60-minute facials—including barrier repair and focus treatments—are now set at £55.
If you need a longer session, 90 minutes is available for £75.
Why the change? Because I often use tools like electrotherapy and LED within these treatments, and rather than create lots of variations, I want you to feel you can have the right facial—without worrying which "type" it is.
The exception:
LED Facial — 45 minutes for £35 includes top and tail treatments
Your first appointment remains a £55 consultation with treatment:
This is the Skin Health Start Facial, where we assess your skin, discuss products, and begin building your home care routine.
Summer Actives to Protect Your Skin
Support your skin through summer with actives that protect, repair, and strengthen the barrier—especially helpful during heat, travel, or sun exposure.
Key options include:
Vitamin C – antioxidant support
Vitamin E – barrier protection and calming
Vitamin B Liposome Concentrate – a powerful combination of niacinamide and B vitamin complexes to hydrate, soothe, and strengthen
Coenzyme Q10 – antioxidant and energising
Green Tea Extract (EGCG) – anti-inflammatory and protective
These are available as neat concentrates you can:
Apply directly to clean skin
Or have added to your base cream or prescriptive serum
You can read more about each active on the private product page (link and password in your email).
Don’t Rely on Sunscreen Alone
You may have heard that SPF is “only needed” from March to October—but that’s outdated advice.
UV Index 3 or above = protection needed, regardless of the season.
Because UV damage is cumulative, I recommend daily SPF use if:
Your skin is sensitive, compromised, or inflamed
You’re using active ingredients (like acids or vitamin A)
You want to maintain long-term barrier health
🧭 Top Tip:
Download the SunSmart Global UV App (WHO/WMO) on Apple or Android.
It’s a simple, reliable way to check the daily UV Index wherever you are.
🌞 And of course, always follow standard NHS sun safety guidance:
Stay in the shade between 11am and 3pm
Wear protective clothing, hats, and sunglasses
Reapply SPF regularly—especially after swimming or sweating

Worried About a Mole or Skin Lesion?
My mole mapping and lesion-checking service is proving incredibly helpful for those with skin concerns—especially during the summer months.
It’s quick, effective, and gives you answers fast:
Results within 48 hours
Either receive reassurance or, if needed, follow up with your GP for further investigation
🔎 Current offer:
£50 for the first mole or lesion (normally £70)
£25 each for up to two additional checks
(e.g. £75 for two, or £100 for three in total)
📅 Appointments can be booked online now.
Don’t Forget Your Body
Full-body skin needs support too—especially after holidays, hot weather, or flare-ups. You’ll now find Dermaviduals® body creams and lotions on the Dermaviduals Product Guide Page. Jacqui can help guide which blend and texture suits your skin best.
Thinking About Microneedling in the Autumn?
If you’re thinking about booking dermal microneedling for the autumn, please be aware that proper preparation is essential—both for safety and results.
🧴 You’ll need to:
Use my cleanser and base cream to support the skin barrier
Begin a gentle vitamin A product when your skin is ready (dermaviduals use retinyl palmitate, not harsh retinols)
Allow at least six weeks of consistent use before treatment
📆 Please note:
You’ll also need a pre-prep phase before starting vitamin A—so it’s important to begin your skin plan well in advance.
Microneedling can offer excellent results—but only when the skin is strong, healthy, and properly supported beforehand.

Wishing You a Happy, Healthy Summer
That’s everything for now. I’ll be back in touch with the final newsletter of the year in October, filled with winter skincare tips—but let’s not think about that just yet.
In the meantime, I hope you have a restful, joyful summer—and I’d love to see some of you before the season’s out, whether it’s for a facial, a product top-up, or just a check-in.
Take care of you and your skin,
Jacqui x
